How to delete "locations" from location menu in new appointments

I am creating a new appointment.  When I desire to put in a location to use
over and over, I press on the drop down arrow.  Unfortunately, several in the
dropdown menu are either errors or no longer valid.  How do I eliminate no
longer needed locations from that drop down box menu?
