hi all

I have problem with Outlook time, which is one hour faster than my system
clock.
If I try to change time in (timezone in Calendar options), it also changes
my system clock.
I've got no idea to make them identical.
It's driving me mad whenever I send invitation to other domains, appointment
arrives at the other end with 1 hour difference.
For example, if appintment is 1 pm, it becomes 2 pm when it reaches other
domains.

Please help
My boss is trying to kill me for this^^.

Timezone in Outlook is same as the one with system clock.
They both have GMT+10 with daylight saving enabled.

I'm not quite sure this problem has got anything to do with exchange server
2000 outlook is running from

If the exchange server is not configured correctly, yes it can affect
messages, but as long as the time is correct for the time zone it's set for,
it should be ok. Everything is stamped with UTC time and a time zone offset.
Outlook takes that information and adjusts it based on your computers time
zone setting.

If you look at the message header from a message that recently arrived from
the internet, it will have the time and the time zone offset. There may be
server lines that resemble the following one.

Received: from sending_server ([IP_address]) by your_exchange_server with
Microsoft SMTPSVC(6.0.3790.1830);  Mon, 12 Feb 2007 11:54:04 -0500

See if the time zone offset (-0500) is correct for the servers time zone and
if the time is reasonably accurate. They should all be within minutes of the
same time after adjusting for the time zone. (i.e., 12:54 -0400 is the same
as 11:54 -0500 and 8:54 -0800)

Thanks a lot Diane

I haven't resolved the problem, but your advice certainly has put me on
right track.
Do you know how to check which timezone exchange server is configured to?
I just had a look at the header of email I received a couple of days ago,
and it was showing wrong timezone.

Thanks again

it does it the same way outlook does -it takes it from the windows setting.
You just need to check the date and time applet in control panel.
