recurring appointments not showing in To-do bar

how can i get recurring appointments to show in the To Do Bar - at the moment
i have to keep going back to my calendar to see if there are any recurring
appointments - whereas i thought the point of the to-do bar was to avoid that

They show just fine for me.  Do you have the Show Time As set to Free by any
chance?

No, they're set as busy - these are All Day Events if that makes any difference
