Edit Labels grayed out

I am trying to edit the colors of the labels from the standard color
format. However, the Edit Label button is gray-ed out. I'm on Outlook
2003. Is there any specific reason why that happens? And how I can fix
it?

That means you have insufficient permissions.  Are you the Owner of that
Calendar?
