Saving a forwarded appointment

I often make appointments for my husband at home and forward them as an
e-mail attachment to his office.  We both use Office 2003.  For quite some
time he could just open the attachment and then click "save and close" and
that took care of it.

However, for some reason that no longer happens.  When he clicks on save and
close the appointment either ends up on the calendar for the current day and
not the appointment day, or the appointment simply goes into cyberspace never
to be seen again.

What has changed or what can he do to save the appointments correctly to his
calendar?

I'm sorry, I don't have a solution for you - but I am hoping you have found
one by now that you could share!  I am having exactly the same problem.  I
believe it started when I started using Vista, but I'm not sure.

DB, I found another post here regarding this problem, and the solution given
there was when forwarding an appointment make sure the message was composed
in Rich Text.  I have tried this and my husband says it works and he can save
the appointment to his calendar.  I'm still using XP Professional, so I don't
think Vista has anything to do with the problem.
