Can only create appointment for today's date

Hi

When I select any date in the future then double click, the
appointment window opens but with todays date in the start and end
drop down boxes.
Even if I change tose dates to the intended future date, the
appointment is created for today.....

We saw this same issue today and resolved it by doing the following:

Right-click on the calendar grid
Choose Customize Current View
The Date/Time fields normally are start and End.  In our user's view, they
were not set that way.
Click Reset Current View
