My supervisor has asked me to add a reminder to his calendar 30 days out from
every appointment that he or I schedule.  So I don't have to do this at the
end of every day, how can I make a rule with the condition that if a calendar
appt iscategorized as a meeting, then a task will be created to remind him or
another appt will be added or an email will be sent...anything.  I use
outlook 2003, exchange server 2003 (i think) and i'm clueless at outlook
rules...none of mine work successfully right now until i hit "run rule"
manually.

Your requirement has nothing to do with Rules.  Rules do not make Tasks or
Appointments. Humans do that.

What you need is to make a Task or set a reminder to follow up each
appointment. Do you use Tasks?
