This is not really a question, just a note to blow off steam.

I rely on the calendaring function to remind me when there is street
cleaning near my office -- a recurring event on the second and fourth Mondays
and Tuesdays of the month.  Realizing that the 2nd or 4th Tuesday can happen
before the 2nd or 4th Monday (respectively), one might understand why Outlook
is a good choice for an alarm reminder.

Well there was no alarm today except for my alarm when I saw the $48 ticket
(Oakland, CA) on my windshield an hour ago.

I checked all my settings and the system time and they are correct.  The
only thing incorrect is the balance in my bank account.

If you realize it is a recurring event on every second and fourth Mondays and Tuesdays, then I would not blame the software for your failure to remember something that you know.  And your lesson was a cheap one.

"there are seldom technological solutions to behavioral problems."

Well, Milly, thank you for your "thoughful" reply.  Does "MVP" stand for
meaningless vapid personality?

Are you implying that one should use this function to  enter events that one
does not know?  Your logic is on hiatus it seems.  Oh, but since you don't
know that, maybe Outlook will remind you at some future date.

The technological solution to your behavioral problem is to shut down your
computer.

To avoid that problem in the future I would recommend you to create a
backup reminder in Cute Reminder
