a colleague mentioned that he used to be able to see his task list within the
calendar pane and that completed tasks would remain on the day they were
completed, while any uncompleted tasks moved onto the current day.  He said
that they appeared at the bottom of the daily calendar.  Does anyone know if
this is an outlook thing and if so how it can be set up?  thanks.

WHat version of Outlook are yiou using?  Usualy, clicking View and checking
Taskpad, for Outlook 2003 and earlier, would allow you to see tasks and
calendar simultaneously.  For Ourlook 2007, the To-Do bar does that.
