We have two computers here at work that have Office 2007; the rest have 2003.
It was a matter of a couple of clicks to share a calendar in 2003 with
editing permissions, I am unable to the same in 2007; when I click "share my
calendar" it sends a copy of the calendar as an email. Is there some way to
edit a shared calendar? I need to be able to do this continuously. Thank
you in advance!

Do you use Exchange as your mail server? If so, check the permissions on the Properties page of the folder.

No need to ask more than once.
