HELP! My Outlook reminders will not dismiss.  I dismiss them and they return.
I don't want to NOT have reminders because I use them often, but Iwould like
to dismiss them once an appointment or task is complete.  Any advice is
welcome.  I have a co worker with the same problem.

Run Outlook with the /cleanreminders switch.

(For instructions on how to run command line switches, search Outlook Help
for "command line switches".)

If you use reminders quite often and wish to create and dismiss them
quickly, you may find Cute Reminder pretty slick...
