This worked - in the process - I discovered the real problem. The holidays were being copied to the default calendar file, not to the one that I sync with my Treo. I cleared the evetns from the default calendar as there were mulitples, re-installed the holidays then moved them to the calendar that synchs with my Treo. Add holidays. if it says you have them already, let it add them again.
