O2007 removes assigned category from meeting request

When I invite s.o. for a meeting and assign a category to this appointment.
The category gets deleted when sending the meeting request.
There is no rule active which could delete the category before sending.
How can I turn of this behavior?

Unfortunately, you can't turn that of. The meeting request is created
without any categories.
