Group Calendars

We have 3 employees that are in a department and we would like a way
of assigning appointments to their calendars.  What we would like is
to have a calendar in the public folder where we create the
appointments and then invite them to the appointments.  Then we would
like to see if they have accepted the meeting or not.  From what I see
that isn't possible because the tally only works with your calendar,
not a calendar on the public folder.  If this is not possible, what
are my options?  We would really like to know if it was accepted.  If
we can't do that I would like to delegate someone to a calendar but
when the delegate puts something on my calendar, I want an email
telling me they did so.  Is that possible?  Thanks for your help.  We
are using exchange 2003 with outlook 2003.

"Maintaining a Group Calendar in Outlook"
http://www.slipstick.com/calendar/scheduleall.htm

Maybe it helps.

I was looking at that website but I'm not seeing how that will help
me.  Is there just a way that if I delegate control to someone that
when THEY put something on my calendar, I get an email?  What I don't
want to happen them put something on my calendar and I don't see it
and I miss an appointment, or I find out about it 15 minutes before.
Is that possible?

Dear jch2os,

you write:

>but I'm not seeing how that will help me.

On this site of slipstick you see a lot of programs who support different
kind of "group calendars" with different functions.

If they would support the function you ask for, you must have a look on the
website of the developers.

As an example: On the slipstick site is a short description to a product
named "Exchange Central"

The description is on this site.

http://www.ms-add-on.com/products-exchange-eng.htm

You must read this site by yourself.
You must test the software by yourself.

The slipstick site is a "Dictionary" of nearly all existing programs, but
you must decide, which is the right program for you.

This is not a feature of outlook - you'll need a 3rd party utility.

Thanks!  I was thinking you were pointing me to walk me through doing
this.  I didn't realize that I needed third party software.  I'll
start looking.  Thanks for everyones help!
