Here is the problem I am facing with Calendar.

When I receive a meeting request, and I accept it, it gets saved in my
calendar and the the mail containing the meetng request goes to "deleted
items". The response gets saved in the "Sent Items" folder. If you delete the
reponse from Sent Items folder or the meeting request from the deleted items
folder, the request which was saved in the calendar gets deleted too. It no
more shows in the calendar. This is a big problem. For the same meeting
request, if you get a Updated one from the sender, it does not gets saved too.

Please contact me if you need more detais..I would be happy to give you
details.

What version of Outlook are you using? any patches?
What version of Office are you using? any patches?
What is your operating system? any patches?
Do you use a Blackberry device?

Hi Nikki,

I appreciate your response. I use outlook 2003. I have all the latest
patches. I use Windows XP on a IBM Thinkpad T60p.

This computer is a corporate computer.
However I have faced this problem in my personal laptop too.

You do not mention whether you use a device like Blackberry
or Palm to synchronize your calendar to. This scenerio is very
likely to be where your problem lies.

This is abnormal behavior. At this point I would do one of
two things:

- Export everything in your mailbox, Delete your mailbox and
Active Directory Account. Rebuild them both, Import your
information from the PST into your new mailbox.

- Call Microsoft and open a Call for Technical Support.

Can you clarify. By "mailbox" do you mean ALL mail folders in outlook?
Hotmail folder or all mail account folders? Inbox mail folders? Other.
btw, I have this prob, cannot create a new appt, and also have been having
sync problems ("server is busy, support code 85010017", "fatal error, support
code 86000209". I sync my OL account with my Pocket PC (WinMobile 5.0, OS
5.1.195, with Outlook Mobile). NO corporate mail server/no ms exchange.
Hotmail is my only email account feeding my OL11, (11.8169.8172). OL2003
installed in last couple weeks, downloaded all updates, incl SP3. Running Win
XP.

Since it's a problem and not a suggestion, you should not use the "Make a
Suggestion" feature of the web interface.

Odd.  I never save sent items (my Sent Items folder is always empty) and I
regularly empty Deleted Items and the meetings I accept stay on my calendar.
Are there any other step you take that you've not mentioned?

Hi Brian,

There is no other step I do.
This problem is happeneing quite a few people I know of. But noone has the
time to actually take up with microsoft for this. But I am so annoyed by the
problem, I thought of spending some time to let MS know.

MS doesn't read these newsgroups, in general.  Even if they did, however,
you didn't make a suggestion, so using the suggestion feature is incorrect.

If what you describe were happing to me, I'd start with a new mail profile.
A new mail profile can cure a host of ills.  I don't know if it would help
in your case, but it's certainly work a shot and you can always go back to
the original mail profile if it doesn't help.
