When I have a meeting on my calendar that I created- I can't fwd it to
someone else after the fact without sending evryone a new meeting request.
What am I doing wrong?

If you click on the appointment to open it, don't you have the option to forward under actions menu?  It also helps greatly if you post your Outlook version so people don't have to guess what options exist under your version.
