how do I change the time zone without appointments being moved?

I have moved across 8 time zones. When I adjusted time in my computer, all my
appointments, festivals and birthdays jumped - creating a complete mess in my
diary! Help! The same happened with my Ipaq, so I am completely lost.

Did you also change the time zone (and DST settings) in Outlook?
