what do I need to do if outlook won't let me make an appointment .

I am getting an error message that I need admin approval to make an
appointment in outlook 2003

In the last two to three weeks, I too am unable to post events into my
Outlook 2003 calendar.  The message received is; " the form required to view
this event cannot be displayed.  Contact your administrator". Also when
trying to import calendar events, direct from Microsoft,  I get the same.

Close Outlook, find and rename (or delete) the frmscache.dll.  Reopen Outlook and see if it is any better.
