I mostly use outlook calendar for very basic scheduling for my family -
doctors appointments, piano lessons, etc.  It would seem I should be able to
go into the calendar and input an appointment with a doctor, for example, who
is in my contacts. The only information that interests me is
name/address/phone (and maybe category)  - i have no need to send him or
anyone an email - i simply want his name displayed as my subject, and his
phone/address automatically carried over from contacts, so i don't have to
look up and input those things every time.  And wouldn't it be great if the
category i assign him in contacts ("Medical" - colored green) would also
carry over and show up on my calendar?

At the very least, if i could COPY a previous appointment with the guy (I
know i could drag and MOVE it, but i want the history in tact), then his
information wouldn't need to be re-input...

Most everything i've tried requires so many interim steps to get SORT OF
what i want, that the alternative is much simpler at this point.
