Thanks for your response. Frustrating though... I do appreciate all the work
they accomplished, but taking away a feature that was the default view for
years?? The programming was already there for a compress/uncompress
checkbox. Why not keep it?

Overlaying calendars over compressed weekend days would have added some complexity. Also, Microsoft may have had usage data to indicate that many people uncompressed weekends.
