When I set up a meeting or appointment, I would like to have defaults for
Reminder set at 1hour and Free/Busy set at Busy. Is there any way to set
these defaults? I can't find it.

Set the default reminder on Tools>Options.

The free/busy default depends on the type of entry you're creating.  An
event defaults to free.  An appointment or meeting defaults to busy.  I
don't believe you can change that.

Thanks Brian, that solved my problem. I was double clicking on the calendar
date to bring up the "meeting" screen and then filling in my info. If I go to
"New/appointment" and click - the defaults are "busy", "notify 1 hour". That
is exactly what I need. Thanks again.

Double-clicking a date produces an all-day event, which has the "free"
default.  I'm glad I was able to help.

tools, options... you can set the default reminder time for a timed
appointment (not all day event) but not the free/busy.... but the appt is
always busy if you open a new from from a day or week grid or New menu.
