What I want (And I am sure others would)  is the option to set an
Appointment time but to have an addjustable  sliding buffer for the pre and
post arrangements.

I often have to attend a 1.5 Hr appointment  at 10:00am in the city, however
I am at least 20min from that location.

So, to stop others booking me from up to 10:00am or at 11:30, and to manage
taxi/travel times etc, I will book my time out from say  9:30 to 12:00.
However this does not work so well when I have an appointment in a distant
place, with large amounts of travel OR lots of appointments.

In addition others may be invited and I have had them turn up on site at
9:30 when the meeting is for 10:00.   At present I am now forced to add TWO
extra appointments for every one that I am to attend or that I call.

Why can't there be a travel / buffer that you can set to an appointment.  I
am sure that it would take very little extra coding and you could have it ON
or OFF as part of the config or by default set to 0 min..

Options:
1:  Pre and Post Appointment -  Equal
2:  Pre and Post Appointment  -  Diferent
3:  These could be set as default or adjusted as required.

If some one was to send a standard appointment to me, then as part of the
acceptance, I would then be able to adjust the "travel"/ buffer times to
suit.  This would be reflected on my system, not theirs.  If I was to send
an appointment, I could chose to set the Pre and Post Appointment time when
I accept the appointment, and the other recipients would have the same
option.

For a Posted appointment, it would need to be availabe in that view.

As one who can attend 4 meetings in diferent places, across a city in one
day, this mod would make my life much simpler.

If any one knows of an addin or how I could do this please let me know.

Outlook 2007 and Exchange 2007 combination allows something like this but I have not yet installed Exchange 2007 to test all of its improvements (waiting for SP-1 to get out of beta.)
