I have a few calendars of friends that I have subscribed to. (they use Google
or Outlook).  I was wondering if I can associate their calendar with a
corresponding contact in order to facilitate the scheduling option in an
event.

If this isn't possible, is there anyway to setup a small 'exchange server'
or something similar to enable scheduling (for free)?  Any ideas on this
subject would be stellar!!  Thanks.

No.
No. there is no "small exchange server" and the calendar sharing tools I'm
aware of that are for non-Exchange users to use, are not free.
