I have outlook 2000 and want to be able to assign color labeled categories to
calnder appointments. I thought when you schedule a new appointment that a
box was available to the right of "show time as" busy, etc but there is
nothing there? Can some smarter-than-I person help? Thanks

I seem to recall that Outlook 2002 was the first version with colored labels
(which are distinct from categories, by the way).

2002 had labels which allowed a few colours in the Calendar.

2007 is the first to make colours relate to Categories.
