Saving forwarded calendar items in Outlook 2003

My boss and I both have Outlook 2003. However, when she forwards me a
calendar item, I can't find it. I can open it from the email and I can hit
Save, but it doesn't show up in my calendar. Any suggestions would be
appreciated.

What format is she sending it in? ICS? Or a regular appointment item in a
Rich Text formatted message?
