When I setup a meeting they all default to a weekly recurrence. I would like
the default to be "no recurrence" is there a setting to make all meetings
without recurrence?

Also, the meetings that I am invited to do not have a recurrence but when I
accept it creates a recurrence of weekly in my calendar but not the senders,
may be related to the above issue.

Are you using a Dell?  If so, this is a well-documented issue.  In Add or
Remove Programs, locate the Outlookaddinsetup application and uninstall it.
