I would like to be able to post a note on my Outlook calendar. I have tried
to go "all electronic" for my calendar functions, but I miss being able to
write daily notes on my paper calendar. Something similar to the notes
function in Excel would suffice.

outlook doesn't have such a feature. you'd need to create an event and write
notes in the notes field.
