Why do entered tasks fail to show on calendar's task pad?

I am having trouble getting any entered tasks to show up on the task pad of
my calendar.  When I go to the Tasks screen, everything shows up there
correctly.  What do I need to do to make those on the Tasks screen show up on
the calendar's task pad?

The TaskPad is a filtered view - check what you have it set to show:

View | TaskPad View | then try another setting

When Tasks show depend on the Start Date and Due Date settings and the View
selected.
