2003 cannot create/save appt in future date

Outlook 2003, windows xp.
if I go to calendar and click on the 22 of november and add an appointment
it saves it to the current day only, even if I choose the 22 and save and
close it still saves to the current day. is there a setting that controls
this?

Click where? What view and what in the view?

in the month view, or any view for that matter the result is the same, if I
do the weekly view and today is tuesday and I choose to add an appt for
friday it saves the appt to tuesday instead of friday, I have uninstalled
outlook and reinstalled I even renamed the domain profile .OLD and created a
new profile in both windows and outlook and it does the same thing every time.

Do you have any add-ins, blackberry software, antivirus scanning of email,
google desktop search, or something like that?

Brian,

whatever addons come with office are the only ones that are there, there is
BB software desktop manager, and google desktop or the toolbar is installed,
as far as antivirus is concerned Im sure that email scanning is taking place,
since this is a 10+ user environment.

These two statements are simply contradictory, since neither BB software nor
Google software come with Office. Disable these programs and try again.

There is never a reason to scan mail. As long as your on-access scanner is
running, you're protected. Disable any mail scanning and try again.
