When viewing the calendar, the months appear on the left hand side and the
dates on which I have appointments are bolded; however, the past months
appointment dates are not bolded and if I am searching for a particular
appointment and am not sure of its date, I have to search all dates because
no dates for which I had appointments are bolded.

Is there a way to keep the previous appointment dates bolded?

Outlook doesn't do that.

Try Advanced Find rather than hunting through the Calendar, or try a
different View.

There are various articles about using Outlook here: www.judygleeson.com

Bolding goes back only two months, and ahead ten months, as far as I can
tell.
