We are using outlook 2007 and sending training meeting notices to a client.
They receive the meeting request unformatted. See actual email below.
Does anyone have any suggestions?

Probably your client's email program doesn't understand ICalendar files. If
you know what they're using you could check if it's on this list (which is by
no means complete):
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_applications_with_iCalendar_support
The only practical short term solution is to send them a conventionally worded
email giving the date, time, venue, agenda etc. They will then be responsible
for making a note in their diaries.

I believe this is the problem:
BEGIN:VALARM
TRIGGER:-PT15M
turn off reminders and it should arrive just fine, assuming they use outlook
or other client that accepts meeting requests.
