messaging interface has returned an unknown error

I'm getting the "Messaging interface has returned an unknown error" when
trying to access a shared resource calendar for which I've been delegated
Reviewer permissions.

Has there been a resolution to this? What's the hotfix that "R_CAxcelis"
mentioned in the Dec 5,2007 post at 12:14pm?

So what you are saying is that this is know bug?
We are seeing the same thing with multiple calendars open.

Seeing the same trouble - although with sending email (calendars not
involved) It's clear to me this is related to installing the "2007
compatibility" (sic) patch.
I sent a Word 2007 doc to my client - he uses office 2000 and 2003. I
helped him over the phone download and install the"compatibility" patch so he
could read my document. Minutes later he calls back, he's suddenly unable to
send email from Outlook (2003), getting "Messaging interface has returned an
unknown error". what a mess.

Is there still no word from Microsoft on this????
I've suggested to save time he just re-install Outlook. Any other
suggestions out there?

Outlook Connector Issue? - 06 Feb 2008 22:25 GMT

I'm getting the same thing but it happens after I install two Hotmail
accounts using the Outlook Connector.
