Why are appointments automatically set with a recurrence?

I've looked around a bit and can't find a setting that calls for all
appointments to be set up with a recurrence -- if I could find it I'd turn it
off!  Anyone know when this might be happening?  I'm using Outlook 2007.

Thanks,

Peter S

New Dell?  If so, then uninstall the Outlookaddinsetup from Control
Panel->Add/Remove Programs.
