Problem with Recurring Appointme    nts in Outlook ‘07

I’m running Vista Home Premium and Outlook 2007.  Outlook is repeatedly
formatting appointments as “recurring” even though I have not selected this
feature.

Any idea what is causing this?
Have I inadvertently selected this as a default somewhere?
