Sharing calendar across an Internet Proxy Firewall

It appears from my testing that O2K7 isn't smart enough to perform this task
across an Internet Proxy Firewall that challenges for credentials.  Is this
really the case?  If it is, I am very surprised that in this day and age the
product team would miss something like this given that Outlook does so well
in this area otherwise.  Right now I have to disconnect my VPN, allow it to
sync, and reconnect, which can be a pain if I have other apps open that need
that VPN connection.

Does anybody have any suggested fixes or work-arounds?

Thanks.

Hi Diane, thanks for the reply.

I am using Outlook 2007 on top of Exchange server, syncing with the Office
Online service at calendars.office.microsoft.com.  We had this problem in the
last version of Office where by Outlook RDP over HTTPS was not able to handle
the challenge response firewall scenario.  This looks suspiciously like the
same problem.

Thanks,
Andy
