I'm having an issue with calendar items being deleted from a shared calendar.

How are you sharing a calendar so that other people can edit it? That's what
I need to do... I'm sorry,... I don't mean to hijack your post. :) Just
curious about your method of sharing in a way that others can edit.

It's a shared calendar for a conference room.

Assuming you have an exchange server on the network you can shre a calendar
from within public folders.

If this is a public folder calendar the issue is probably to do with the
permissions on the folder. You need to change the permissions of other users
so they can only edit and delete their items. Normally this would be the
“author” permission.
