OK, I've read all the posts I can find on meeting organisers and the
consensus seems to be that if the organiser has gone away, recreate the
meeting. Putting aside how ridiculous that is for the moment, all I want to
know is who has accepted or declined the meeting. I don't need to change the
meeting in any way. If someone emails me through outlook calendar as a
response to the meeting, I can see the list of accepted/tentative/declined
etc. So the information is still there. Is there any way I can access it?
Probably not I'm guessing, but I'd like confirmation.

Thanks

You are correct.  The "talley" of who has accepted/declined is held
by the meeting organizer and unless you have access to that account
you will not be able to see.
