Recurring calendar events don't archive (Outlook 2003)

I have some recurring meetings that I set up to run 5-6 months or longer (ex.
weekly staff meeting).  In order to manage the size of my email folders, I
have auto-archive setup to only keep 4 weeks of history, before moving items
to my archive mail file.  I have noticed that recurring events don't archive
until the entire series has completed, so some meetings that are setup with
no end date will never archive.  Is there a way around that?  I would like
all my calendar events to archive after 4 weeks.  Thanks!

Recurring events are single items.  If autoarchive were to remove sucgh an
event from your calendar, you'd lose the entire series.
