MY CALENDER IN MY OUTLOOK IS NOT RESPONDING TO MY REQUEST

my calender in OUTLOOK is not responding to my requests to register future
appointments. the box with date time appointment cooments does not show up
when i click appointments and further if i type into the highlighted time
area it does not save as there are no options available.
please advice how to rectify my calender to work normally.
