Preven invitations received. but not opened. from Calendar

I was asked this question.  I'm not sure why this person wants to do this but
she is asking if it is possible to prevent invites for meetings from
appearing on her calendar.  I explained they are a placeholder, with diagonal
lines around them, to indicate it is an invite that has not been responded
to.  But, for whatever reason, she doesn't want to see these on her calendar.

Perhaps set Filter Advanced, only show Items that are not equal to
"tentative"

That sounds like a good idea but I would need some instruction on how to set
this up.  Can you provide instructions?

View, Arrange by, Current View, Customize current view, Filter,
Advanced, Field, All appointment fields, Show time as, Condition, not
equal to, Value, Tentative, Add to list, Ok, Ok.

That sounds like a good idea but I would need some instruction on how to
set
this up.  Can you provide instructions?
