If you don't know what a .PST file is, how did you retrieve your archives?
:-) Data that is archived using Outlook's manual Archive command (on the
File menu) or the AutoArchive feature is put into a .PST file. And unless
you're using Exchange, your default data file is a .PST file also.
Tell us more about how these items were archived and what exactly you did to
retrieve them -- then we can give you more help on this.

Well, you can believe me when I say I don't know how to find the .PST file. My data has been archived using Outlook's manual Archive command (on the File menu) or the AutoArchive feature is put into a .PST file, just as you said. When I search for .PST files, none are found. When I search for the path shown in the achive command, it is not found.
So, I really don't know how to find the .PST file.
In the meantime, I still have the problems I originally wrote about. Can't delete and can't sync
Thank you
Scot

I asked what I asked because in your original post you said "I retrieved
archived items". You couldn't have retrieved them from a .PST file if you
couldn't find the .PST file, and you still haven't told me how you DID
retrieve them. So I'm still confused :-)
Anyway, since you're using Windows 2000, the .PST files are likely located
in hidden or system folders, so make sure you enable searching within hidden
and system folders, and/or turn on the option to show these types of folders
in Windows 2000.
