Not recognizing unique events when importing vCalendar?

I'm trying to import vCalendar-data and it works OK, except Outlook doesn't
seem to recognize the unique events as specified by the "UID"-property of
the event. The result is that duplicates are made, when I would expect
events to be moved as specified in the vCalendar-data.

Does Outlook support this property?

If "yes", need I be aware of anything particular when creating the
vCalendar-data?

Outlook does not support that, as I recall.

Autch, too bad really!

Do you/anybody know any workarounds for this kind of problem?

Thanks, Kim :o)
