How would I decline a meeting in Outlook 2000 but keep the Calendar entry saved in my caledar for reference?

Here's a way you can do it.

There's a setting in Tools, Options, Email, Advanced email ... then unclick
Delete meeting request from inbox when responding.

That way when you decline the meeting, you still have the request in your
inbox.  You could then right mouse drag it to your Calendar folder and have
it set for the time of the meeting (even though you're not going).
