When I share data between Outlook 2002 and my P@lm PDA
(sorry PocketPC fans) I see a large number of Calendar
records dated 31/12/1899 that I cannot find (or otherwise
account for) in Outlook.

I've viewed my calendar 'By category' and cannot find any
Calendar records prior to 2001 (which I expected)

Naturally I am also enquiring about this with the vendor
of the relevant P@lm software, but wanted to check out if
this is a known 'feature' of Outlook.

If I recall correctly, Matt, 1899 is the equivalent of 0 for one type of
date data in Exchange.  Basically, if some program put 0 as the date (all
dates are stored as numbers), that's what you'd see.  I don't know if that
helps, but you're definitely not going crazy or anything.
