I'm using Windows XP and when I try to enter an
appointment, it reads "Could not save item". It also does
not highlight the days I have appointments like it used
to. Any answers?

Help->Detect and Repair.  Have you tried it? Do you still get the same
error?

It is now working, but not sure exactly what step did it.  I did a detect and
repair, created a new profile, repeated detect and repair with a couple of
reboots between and then tried once again and it works.  I just tried
everything you and other suggested in one swoop.

I keep reading about these calendar/appointments problems. So many people
have them and MICROSOFT does not react at all. The only sensible thing was
said by TOM: "he has not idea  how it works again..."

Thanks TOM, I will keep on rebooting and repairing. It did not help after 7
times in a row, but maybe my luck will change...

ANY MICROSOFT GURUS TO HELP? C'mon somebody must have a solution....

PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm going to just add my complaint in this thread as well.

We have one user that has this problem. I have rebooted, run detect &
repair, uninstalled, reinstalled, deleted the profile, recreated it,
virtually every single thing I could think of and that I could find
suggestions for. BUT it keeps re-ocurring. The longest it has gone is about a
week, the shortest was one day. The user has OL2K3, connecting to Exchange
2K3. what's up M$? why no solution?

OK. No profesional response from the MS people, so be it....

I read nearly all postst about this problem, and I found out what was wrong
in my case: if you install software that changes your time zones or clean
your time zones in any ways, your OL may not "understand" your time zone,
hence that date as well and so it refuses to save appointments.

Once I corrected the time zones problem + reinstalled the whole office and
my OL works again fine.

So, please look at your time zones and you may find the solution to your
nightmares there.

Good luck, and thank you to all the people who cared enough to share their
experience with MS soft at this forum.
