Event Cut and Paste in Outlook

I can't believe that in 2004 I still can't select a calendar event, copy it,
switch to another day, and paste it. Or another approach, shift+drag to a
date to copy a new instance of an event to a different date.

I do this all the time -- Ctrl+drag copies the appointment to the target
date.
