We have 300 computers with outlook 2000 (Exch 5.5) on W2K-Pro that we are
migrating to outlook 2003. Most have personal folders. Sometimes, a user will
have a calendar in their pst. Most can be deleted. Sometimes, that option is
grayed out even when user has admin permissions. What causes that? More
importantly, is there a way to delete the calendar when that option is grayed
out?

Default calendars cannot be deleted.  If the calendars are in non-default stores, they can be deleted.  For instance, if a user has created a sub folder calendar, it can be deleted.  If it is the default calendar created with the personal folders file or the Exchange mailbox, it cannot be deleted.

Post all replies to the group to keep the discussion intact.  Due to
the (insert latest virus name here) virus, all mail sent to my personal
account will be deleted without reading.

After a lot of head-scratching, LANMAN asked:

Milly,

Thanks for your response. I probably did not explain the situation very
well. None of the calendars we want to delete are default calendars. In fact,
I'll give you a specific example of the problem. I have a user, George, who
has his server-based mailbox as the default. He also has 4 personal folders.
Three-of-the four have calendars. Although none of the 3 pst calendars are
the default, the option to delete is grayed out on all 3 additional
calendars. ??
