Hi, my outlook calendar opens as a list of items, not a true calendar.  The
only way I can get it back to a calendar is to open another calendar, then
click the checkbox for my calendar.  How do I get rid of the list of items
view?

What view do you have set on your calendar?  Try View->Current
View->Day/Week/Month.

This is a view issue. In order to get the view back, highlight the
calendar, View --> Arrange by --> Current view --> Define view. Click
new --> Day/week/month and apply the view and close.
