if i import a calendar (say from work) into Outlook 2002 (at home) does it
overwrite the calendar i have at home?  i'm hoping that by importing, that
all it will do is add in the appointments from work into my home calendar.
Does anyone know what the actual process is when importing a file?

Never IMPORT a .pst file into Outlook.  Open the .pst file and use drag and
drop to populate your calendar.  And, no, it does not overwrite your
calendar.
