Outlook 2003 Calendar won't save

I am running Windows XP with Office 2003 on my laptop computer. I pull my mail
from a POP3 server. All of my information is stored on my computer in the PST
file.

Outlook worked fine for awhile, but now when I try to add an event to my
calendar I get an error message that says:

"The messaging interface has returned an unknown error. If the problem
persists, restart Outlook"

But restarting doesn't help.  Neither does Scanpst.exe.  Neither does running
update (I have SP1 for Outlook installed).

I can move existing Calendar items, but not change them, or copy them.

Any ideas?

Can I get support from Microsoft for this?

Thanks...

Ha!

Solved my problem!

Created a new PST in Outlook 2003.

*Imported* the old file, which allowed it to take up more room.

Works!

And that just took 2 days of my life, no problem!  Computers save time!

Now if I can only figure out how to delete 2 of the 3 settings for "CONTACTS"
only 1 of which actually contains contacts...
